A Most Magical Day
A child’s developing memory makes the world wondrous and slow, something we all can relate to looking back at the tedious wait for Christmas. Children going through cancer treatment experience the same longing, but for another day, the day their treatment is finally over. Leaving the regular visits to the hospital behind doesn’t mean they are free from the disease, but at least they won’t have to show their parents and the medical staff how brave they are taking syringes and they won’t have to spend long hours, even days, at the hospital. For once, they will actually get to feel a little bit more like other children.
